Learn how to start rabbit farm
few days back my sister came to my home, so her son is around 2 years now. Since our cow is pregnant, In order to feed him milk we decided to buy milk from cheriya haajiyaar farm, me along with my mom went there to get milk. cheriya haajiyar have a farm of around 50 cent consisting of most of the vegetables, chickens, duck, turkey, goat and rabbit. when i went there, i saw my friend ismail, son of cheriya hajiyar. Ismail studied with me during my heigher secondary, Ismail collects the vegetables from the farm.
Cheriya hajiyar farms for his house needs, also give some of it to his neighbours, Only thing they sell is milk. What wondered me is why they farm rabbits, its not just 2-3 there were around 15, so i just asked ismail do you sell these?. Ismail told me they dont sell rabbits, all ate my himself, no one other than him in his family eat rabbits. Even most of them i know wont eat rabbits. Ismail told, rabbits taste delicious, we need to know how to prepare it, its a smooth meat, he prepare's it at home and at college with his friends. I came to see some baby rabbits there put inside a small box, it looks like a small rat.
Most of them i have seen would like rabbit's to keep as a pet, rather than using it for meat purpose, it was quite strange for me to hear it from ismail when he told me he use it for meat, whatever it depends on likes and dislikes of every individual, for me i would like to keep them as a pet, as they look so cute, so hard for me to consider them as a meat.
RABIT CAGE:
It was around 8 cells, 4 each on the top and bottom, around 80cm of height, 60cm of width, consist of around 15 rabbits in it plus 3 new baby rabbit newcomers.
RABBIT FOOD:
Rabbits love to eat vegetables and fruits, most prefarably hay, and fresh water
VEGETABLES:
Cabbage and its leaf
Broccoli
Cauliflower & leaf
Carrots
So its easy for them, and for me also if i start a farm, cause we have a wholesale vegetable market near, so the left over there can be used to feed them. If you have a farm near it is easy for you to feed your rabbit.
FRUITS:
Grape
Pineapple
Banana
Mango
Papaya
